Messrs Yazid & Co was appointed as Lead Counsel to assist Mr Cheong Ah Kau ('Mr Cheong'), 77 years old retiree in Kuantan to initiate medico-legal claim against local ophthalmologist (running his own private eye clinic) for causing total blindness over Mr Cheong right eye during cataract surgery.
Based on the expert report presented on behalf of Mr Cheong, the insurance company agreed to evaluate and negotiate the amount of damages to compensate his losses.
Parties reached an amicable settlement for the sum of RM 200,000-00.
